Holidays in China for 2018, 2019, 2020

In China, there are 7 public holidays that have days off. These are: New Year, Chinese New Year, Qingming, Traditional Chinese Remembrance Festival, May 1st, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day of the People's Republic of China (China's national holiday, October 1).

On some days, certain categories of citizens are given half-day holidays: International Women's Day, Youth Day, Children's Day and the founding day of the PLA of China. Women rest half a day on International Women's Day, youth under 14 on Youth Day, children under 13 on Children's Day, active duty army personnel on the founding day of China's PLA.

Also in China, other holidays are celebrated that do not fall on days off: Arbor Festival, Anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Teachers' Day.
