Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port

The Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port was established in 1938 and is located on the southeastern shore of the Golden Horn Bay. Port coordinates: 43deg.06min N, 131deg.53min.22 sec. o.d.

The ice-free Golden Horn Bay is well protected from the winds and has year-round navigation. The length of ten berths of the port is 2020 meters with depths from 9.8 to 12.4 meters. The total area of the port is over 323,700 square meters.

The Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port is a universal transshipment complex, which, in addition to processing fish products, can carry out cargo operations with such cargoes as timber, metal, fertilizers, cellulose, fuels and lubricants, etc.

The port has covered warehouses designed to store food products, pulp, paper, cardboard, corrugated packaging, fertilizers and other dry cargo. Their useful area is more than 58,000 square meters. All premises are heated and equipped with a ventilation system, which allows maintaining the temperature inside them from 0 to 20 degrees C at any time of the year. Up to 400 thousand tons of various cargoes can be placed on the open areas of the port's berths.

On the territory of the port there are five-storey and four-storey refrigerators with a total area of 47,784 square meters. The temperature regime maintained inside the refrigerators is from -22 to 0 degrees C.

All berths and warehouses have access railway tracks with a total length of about 10 kilometers, which are adjacent to the Mys Churkin railway station of the Vladivostok branch of the Far Eastern Railway - the final point of the Trans-Siberian Railway. The port handles about twenty thousand wagons annually.

The port is directly connected to the motorway network of the Russian Federation.


Vladivostok Marine Container Terminal

The Vladivostok Sea Container Terminal LLC "VMKT" began its work in 1995 on the territory of the Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port and is a subsidiary of OJSC "Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port".

The terminal is located at berths 51-53 with a total length of 450 meters, with a depth at the quay wall of 9.5 m.

The terminal area of 21,000 m2 allows to place up to 3 thousand 20/40 foot simple and refrigerated containers, up to 10 thousand tons of general cargo. Cargo turnover of VMKT LLC in 2009 amounted to more than 62,000 TEU.

Warehouse equipment, consisting of high-tech forklifts with a carrying capacity of 2 to 45 tons, including two new Kalmar Shuttle container trucks with a carrying capacity of 45 tons, allows solving the whole range of container and cargo processing tasks.

The entire territory of the terminal is guarded around the clock. LLC "VMKT" works for the prospect of developing rail and sea transportation via shipping container lines: imports of goods from Korea, China, America, Japan, as well as cabotage cargo via container lines to Magadan, Sakhalin, Kamchatka and Anadyr.

The handling rate for container line vessels is 500 TEU per day.

The terminal provides the following services.

  • Receiving / issuing from the terminal 20/40 ft. loaded/empty containers.
  • Loading/unloading of 20/40 foot containers to/from vessel.
  • Placement and storage of goods in simple containers and refrigerated containers (with connection to the power grid at the request of the client).
  • Filling containers with various cargoes.
  • Reception, fastening and dispatch of any cargo by rail, including non-standard equipment.

Placement and storage of goods on the equipped covered / open area of the temporary storage warehouse for customs inspections.
