Temporary importation

Temporary import (export) - a regime in which the use of goods is allowed with full or partial exemption from customs duties and taxes and without the application of economic policy measures. Must be returned in unaltered condition. Temporary importation (exportation) of goods is allowed only upon presentation of an obligation to re-export (import) and ensure the payment of customs duties.

The customs authorities of the Russian Federation are not entitled to grant permission for the temporary import (export) of goods if there is no possibility of ensuring their reliable identification.

The terms of temporary importation are established by the customs authority of the Russian Federation and cannot be more than 2 years.
With partial exemption from payment of customs duties, taxes for each full and part-time working month, three percent of the amount that would be payable is paid.
