The Ministry of Industry and Trade determined the size of the recycling fee

Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russiapublished a draft government decree, which determines the rates of recycling fee for the import of cars. The size of the recycling fee will be calculated from the base rate of 20 thousand rubles and a multiplying factor.

On the new and used electric vehicles,as well as for new cars with an engine capacity of less than two liters, the smallest coefficient of 1.34 will apply; the utilization fee for them will amount to 26.8 thousand rubles.

For used cars with an engine capacity of up to two liters, a coefficient of 8.26 will apply; in this case, the recycling fee will amount to 165.2 thousand rubles.

New cars with engines up to three liters will fall under the coefficient of 2.66 (utilization fee - 53.2 thousand rubles). The same, but second-hand, will cost 322.4 thousand rubles. For the import of new and used cars with an engine of more than 3.5 liters, you will have to pay from 110 to 700.2 thousand rubles.

However, individuals, according to the Vedomosti website, will be able to import cars at a reduced rate of 0.15 for new cars and 0.25 for used cars. Thus, the fee for private traders will be from three to five thousand rubles.

The fee for the disposal of cars imported into Russia will be introduced from September 1, 2012. This measure is designed to compensate for the reduction in import duties on the import of cars, due to Russia's accession to the WTO. As expected, the duty on new cars will be reduced from 30 to 25 percent. In the next seven years, its size will be reduced to 15 percent of the value of the car.
